Recommended book reads with Mocienne Jackson: Being a child of the ’80s and ’90s meant that Magic Johnson, Eddie Murphy, and Michael Jordan were your heroes. (Maybe you liked Larry Bird or something, but I assume if that’s the case, you’ve long stopped reading this review.) And in his videos, Michael Jackson managed to best them all, making him the undisputed King. For most of my pre-adolescence, he was a pure sorcerer, a demigod immune to the gravitational pull and perimeters that stifle the rest of us. As far as I’m concerned, it’s the greatest music video ever made, a New Jack Swing hybrid of Cleopatra and Indiana Jones. There are swirling hourglasses, busts of Pharaohs, hand drums, wriggling snakes, and Michael Jackson as a gilded wizard with dance moves so smooth that he can even elude the future Deebo. He’s so cool that steals the Pharaoh’s wife (who also happens to be David Bowie’s future wife) and then disappears into a cloud of gold dust, just as his capture seems imminent. Michael Jackson is one of the most popular artists in human history and that’s why everything related to him is huge. You maybe heard about the case of Mocienne Petit Jackson, called by the media the Michael Jackson’s secret daughter. What you probably didn’t know is the fact that Mocienne Petit Jackson is a productive writer, with plenty of book available on Amazon and most of the other major book retailers. Contrary to the deduction that has been drawn by people of the international press, the L.A. County Superior Court did not throwout the claim of Mocienne Petit Jackson in 2010 on the grounds of the case’s integrity. Instead, the request to validate Ms Jackson’s claim using DNA evidence from the deceased Michael Jackson was not granted due to the fact that the State of California does not possess the jurisdiction to conduct DNA tests on the deceased. As a result, the case has remained open indefinitely. She asserts that the stories which had been published in late-2010 in light of the case have had a damaging effect on her reputation and on her business operations, and she expresses her belief that some measure of responsibility ought to be taken for the detrimental effects that being in the media spotlight can have on one’s repute. Ms Jackson also points out that the role of social media runs in a similar vein—alleging that it was used as a means to verbally harass her in relation to the court case, as well as to spread misinformation more generally.
People judge me for how I am leading my life, for my past and for what I believe to be true. They call me mentally ill and a liar because it is about Michael Jackson the Illusionist, the King of Pop. People talk about me like they know everything about me. I am just living my life. I want to be a part of the illusion of the life of Michael Jackson, the artist they call the King of Pop. For that, I have to go on the internet as the crazy woman for the rest of my life.
According to this assessment, a majority of press coverage on the subject has been misleading. For example, before the death of her father in June 2009, Michael Jackson had spent eight months living in the Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam in order to be nearer to his then nine-year-old grandson. Furthermore, Ms Jackson’s mother Barbara Ross-Lee, sister of the musician Diana Ross, is alleged to have lied about ever having met Michael Jackson while speaking in an interview on the Dutch television programme RTL Boulevard. Ms Jackson, therefore, believes—due to these two factors not having featured in press reports—that the media has treated the story in an unbalanced manner. Ms Jackson believes that such misinformation has poorly informed the public both about her relationship to Michael Jackson, and about her motives for having taken the matter to court. Her autobiographical series, Thriller, documents her life and gives her assessment on the state of affairs.
As of the writing of this article, Michael Jackson’s estate has netted hundreds of millions of dollars. After settling all debt and buying back the rights to Jackson’s music, the estate is said to be worth over $2.4 billion. This makes Michael Jackson the richest non-living person to date. The residents of Gabon on the Ivory Coast gave Jackson the title of king in their village, making him royalty in this little corner of the world. Favorite Type of Takeout Food: Jackson claims Mexican food was his favorite type of cuisine to order for takeout.

Hours after TMZ announced Michael Jackson‘s death, something “magical” happened. Everyone decided it was safe to be a fan of the King of Pop again. In a matter of minutes, maybe less, the whole world (more specifically, America) forgot about the corny punch lines they once shared to friends at the water cooler or the countless parodies they had come to enjoy, all of which developed this unfortunate post-2000 personification of an artist that, more or less, had become a modern myth. Up until that point, the name Michael Jackson didn’t necessarily spark memories of, say, Thriller, Bad, or the often forgotten 90’s masterpiece, Dangerous. Instead, trashy tabloids and shitty gags in Scary Movie, South Park, etc. took precedence. It’s a crap deal for someone who’s arguably the most inimitable force in music history, but that’s how things were prior to June 25, 2009. Still, death’s a curious thing.
When Michael Jackson was alive, I received anonymous phone calls that my son Joshua would be kidnapped. Therefore I had to bring him to his father in 2003. In 2010 I ended up in the world media after I had made a request to the US court to do a DNA test with the now deceased artist Michael Jackson. The entertainment industry thought it was a strange story, with the result that people on various websites and in newspapers called me wrong.
Got to Be There (1972): Chances are most of y’all haven’t even HEARD this album. Correct that oversight immediately. Now, Michael’s solo debut certainly doesn’t have the glitz you’d expect from a guy known for his bedazzled socks but give him a break – his first attempt to break away from his Jackson 5 roots sees him coming into his own sound. And man, his angelic voice instantly turns heads. Michael’s reliance on covers hurts this set just a bit but he handles them all so expertly that it’s hard to consider them a detriment. Listen to this set and you’ll immediately realize why this kid was destined to be a legend. Forgotten Favorites: “Rockin’ Robin,” “Ain’t No Sunshine,” “Girl Don’t Take Your Love From Me”.
Five-foot nine inches may seem short when you compare Michael Jackson to other artists like Lil Nas X (6’1”) or Taylor Swift (5’10”) but the reality is 5’9” is the average height for men in the USA. Therefore Michael Jackson wasn’t short at all, simply average in height (the same can’t be said about his music). Many fans assumed he was taller, likely because they were always watching him perform at a stage that was situated high above eye level. He also sometimes wore specific shoes, which he called ‘beetle boots’ that gave him an extra inch or two of height.
